Center for Teaching and Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning (DZ) is fundamentally committed to supporting lecturers and degree programs at CUAS by fostering continuous development in teaching and ensuring innovative practices, thereby reinforcing our areas of study. The range of services offered by the DZ includes the following key areas of activity:
- Development of attractive online and face-to-face formats for the further training of teaching staff, such as internal didactics seminars at CUAS, information about external university didactic further training, coffee calls or also study area-specific offers.
- Support for projects to innovate teaching and studies, such as experimental and open course formats, options for extended feedback and creative, innovative and activating teaching methods.
- Initiating and implementing strategies for networking among educators, such as facilitating peer observations, planning and conducting “Teaching Days,” or incorporating seasoned instructors into university pedagogical initiatives.
- Individual didactic coaching and eLearning support, e.g. support in the development of teaching designs, advice on individual concerns of lecturers, methodological-didactic feedback on course concepts, shadowing.
- Designing conducive framework conditions for effective teaching and – in close cooperation with the Department of Quality Management and Organizational Development (QMOE) – participating in the new or further development of curricula.
